Busy Weekend!

Not much changed this past week...my "bump" just got a little bigger. We have a dotor's appointment tomorrow to check on Olivia --- 31week check up!

This past weekend was very busy and I had my first baby shower in Greenville...it was SO nice! Nancy, Diane and Sonya (up at the top across from my mom and Cherita) did a WONDERFUL job and Olivia got so many WONDERFUL things...we're so thankful for everyone that was able to come.

Below is my Grandma Kamman, Aunt Babe and "Aunt" Cheri

Chad's parents and Mel were able to come to town for the event, so after the shower we all went back to my parents' house to watch a little football and later eat a little pizza --- plain cheese seems to be Olivia's favorite right now!

Today my mom and I went to get the few little things left on the list for Olivia's room (oh, it's overflowing at this point with all the stuff from yesterday, so I'm going to try and tackle that tonight)...only think missing is a bookcase. Thanks to everyone that came to the shower yesterday Olivia has an awesome library collection started! Hopefully after this week I'll be able to post some photos of the house and Olivia's room...both are very close to completion...thank goodness!!! (I should have more photos of the shower as well...mom and I forgot our cameras, so I didn't get the photos of everything before everyone got there)

Whoops...three weeks have passed!

So, this whole weekly posting thing is NOT going as planned....I just seem to be extremely busy lately!
Three weekends ago we added another member to the family...NO, not another baby...my brother got engaged to his girlfriend Mel! It was a
very exciting weekend and we all went
up to Chicago to surprise her after he had asked her
and they had dinner. As you can tell from the photo she was VERY surprised (the one I took didn't turn out of her face when she saw all her friends and family). We also took a picture of our new family (minus Olivia...we'll be able to do that at Christmas).

This past week I had my 29 week check up (start week 30 tomorrow....look out, we're getting closer and closer!). Everything was good...I'm on the every two weeks schedule now. I have gained 16 pounds, so I'm right on track for the 25-30 weight gain they recommend. Olivia is VERY active and moves around all the time...it actually started hurting this week and taking my breath away every now and then.

We almost have the nursery done...waiting on the rocking chair (it arrives tomorrow!) and then I just have little things to do. I'll post the room next week and then again when it's done.

Chad and I are getting very anxious to meet Olivia...thank goodness we're busy between now and then and still have to get the house all done. Below is me at a full 29 weeks...we had a great dinner last night with my mom and dad.

Baby Olivia!

So today was our 4D ultrasound. Olivia's still breech, so it makes it a little difficult to get a real good look at her full face with the shadows of the cord in the way. She looks pretty cute though (I guess). She has her mouth open a lot and in the photo with the arrow she's sticking her tongue out. The first photo is me and Olivia at 26 weeks --- full 6 months now! My hair is a little curlier than normal!

25 Weeks

Still not doing very well on the weekly updates, but I'm trying :)

The past two weeks have been VERY busy. We've been in the new house 2 weeks this weekend. The move went very smoothly, but I was EXHAUSTED! We're pretty settled in, just little things left to do - dining room, finish the landscaping (it was pretty much all ripped out yesterday), get the furniture for the living room and finish Olivia's room. The goal is by October 1, so I think we should be done right around that time and I'll be able to post photos of the finished product.

Olivia's still VERY active in my tummy and doesn't like it when I rest my arms there or Chad puts his ear on my tummy (this week one of the emails I got from "What to Expect" said he'd be able to possibly hear the heartbeat...we're not sure if that's what he's hearing or not)...she let's us know immediately that she doesn't really like it.

Chad's brother and sister-in-law had their little girl this week...Adelayna Elizabeth. Anny and Landon are both very excited and Chad's parents are super excited to have t
heir first grandchild. Poor Anny was in labor for 28 hours, but she says that they're both doing great! We'll hopefully get to see them in October when they're in St. Louis.

Tomorrow we have another ultrasound and the plan is to upload the photos that night (my plans don't seem to really work too well though!). More to come tomorrow!

The photo to the right is the day after we moved in to the new house...I'm 24 weeks pregnant at this point.

23 Weeks And More!!!

Ok, so my goal after week 20 was to post something once a week, but with the house and still being tired it hasn't happened.

First, below are the photos from the ultrasound...Sorry, they're kind of large.  (keep reading there's more)

Our little girl has a name...OLIVIA!!!!  We love the name, but haven't decided on the middle name yet...we have plenty of time. Olivia is VERY active and has "parties" when I would like to be sleeping...grapes and sweet stuff really gets her moving around.  It's so weird to feel her!

Next weekend is the big move, we're excited to get settled in and hopefully there won't be much work to do while we're there. I'll put the before and after photos up once we get in.  It really turned out nice!

Hopefully from here on out I'll be able to do the once a week posts...next Monday is another doctor's visit...so I'll have an update then.

Drum Roll Please......

So we went to the doctor to find out that our "little buddy" is a....GIRL!!!! We're very excited! The ultrasound technician couldn't believe how much she moved around and had a hard time getting her to settle down...she weighs 12 ounces and is 13.2 cm long...moved my due date to Dec 19th - only 2 days difference. Now the name game begins! (yes, I have ultrasound photos and I'll try and get them up tomorrow)

This past weekend we were super busy! We demoed the house and I have photos of me on the kitchen floor removing all the tile...they'll be up later in the week. The demo work is all done and tomorrow the tile floors and shower start going in...looking to have this all done in 3 weeks...keep your fingers crossed!

That's about all for now...pretty tired (it's about 9pm) and I'm just getting home from running errands after the doctor's appointment. Below is the photo at 19 weeks.

I'm Back!!!

Since it's been so long since the last blog, this is going to be a little lengthy since much has happened.

We've moved (and sold) out of our house and into our friend Carrie's condo for a month...today we closed on the purchase of our new home and we have some "minor" updating to do.

Last weekend we spent some time in Lake Louise/Banff, A
lberta and it was great! Chad did some hiking and I did little hikes and sightseeing. It was great to get away and enjoy some time together. http://web.mac.com/cwrinkle (this will take you to the link of the vacation photos)

Now, on to what the website is for...I'm in week 19 and starting to feel better. I don't get as sick as often (Thank you!) and I'm starting to feel ok. Chad's excited because I actually feel like going and doing something every now and then (still not as often as he'd like me to be out and about).

Our little "buddy" is moving around all the time now (does a little dance whenever I eat grapes!) and I have a little bump. Monday we are going to the doctor for our ultra sound to find out what we are having...we're so excited and can't wait!

Look forward to the post on Monday, we'll let you all know what we have coming into this world!
