SLU Easter Egg Hunt!

Unfortunately the weather in St. Louis has been anything but good lately...so, the Easter Egg nt that was going to be on the beautiful campus was moved indoors to BMC...even with the rain it was a great time!

This was Olivia's first go at hunting eggs...at first she was a little overwhelmed (she actually started shaking), but Chad took her out where there were more eggs and showed her how to do it. Olivia was a pro in no time at all!

After the egg hunt Olivia was a little hungry...what to eat at an Easter Egg Hunt??!! An Easter sugar cookie!

After filling our tummy it was on to meet the Easter Bunny...unfortunately, this DID NOT go so well...Olivia was a little scared to say the least! :)

Spring Time Fun In The SNOW!!!

Yes, you read that correctly...this past Saturday we got dumped on...you just never know what March will bring for St. Louis. It was 83 on Monday and by Friday we were back in the 30's and 40's and ended up with about 5 inches of HEAVY, WET snow on Saturday...what to do when it snows in March...go sledding of course!

Although the snow didn't last long (it was gone by 1pm) we enjoyed it that morning while we could!

Since the snow was so heavy, Olivia had a little accident...better put, Daddy was being crazy and Olivia dumped over...not once, but twice! She was a trooper though and got back up the first time!

Park Time With Lucy!

Spring is HEEERRREEE!!!

The last two nights we've taken Olivia to the park before dinner time and she absolutely loves it! This evening we were strolling by our neighbors and sure enough, they were on their way too...so Olivia and Lucy were able to have park time together!

Olivia's New Playground

Since spring is just around the corner in STL...it's finally in the 60's again for a little part of the day (some days) we decided to start looking around for outdoor toys for Olivia and came across this steal on Craigslist...It's a playhouse, slide and climber all in one...

At first Olivia was pretty darn scared, but she's getting used to it and really likes the slide...the only problem we have is getting her to come inside...that part is not going so well...she LOVES to be outside!

Give Me My Spoon!

Yes, we are eating with a spoon...not all the time, but Olivia's very good at using her spoon for pears/apples...it takes her quite awhile to do it this way, but she's learning! She loves to clap for herself once she gets it in her mouth too...it's WAY TOO CUTE!

Catching Up --- Uncle Kyle and Auntie Melly Here We Come!

The second weekend in February (yes, I said the second weekend in February!) we took a trip to Chicago (actually Bartlet) to visit Kyle and Mel...we hadn't been to Chicago since they'd gotten married and they had just closed on their new townhouse...we were all so excited for them and wanted to celebrate with them!

We were greeted with yummy apps and we had a chance to get the tour and catch up before heading to St. Charles for a bite to eat...we decided upon "The Office" a great little bar/restaurant in an old office/library building. The atmosphere was wonderful and the sangrias were even better (they were the real deal, no too syrupy pre-mixed drinks here!).

1 Year Photos --- Yes, I'm a little late on these!

So after a not so brief break from blogging I'm back!

Olivia had her 1 year photos the first week in January...the photographer that shot our wedding was kind enough to take a morning to come and shoot Miss Olivia for her one year pictures...we think they turned out pretty darn great!

In the last 2 months Olivia is doing something new all the time...we can stack blocks (just learned this today!), give hugs to other little children (this is new and oh so cute!), we drink out of a straw, love sweets all of the sudden (wonder who she gets that from?!?) and much, much more...Olivia is so tall too...I have no idea where that comes from unless it's from one of our dad's (Chad and I aren't the tallest people, just average height).
