Pool Time!

This weekend Olivia had her first pool time of the season!

Olivia getting ready to head in

Testing the waters

Day 1 was in the backyard...I remember her pool being so much bigger last year...probably because she was only 6 months old instead of an almost 18 month old who's as big as most 2 year olds! She was excited no matter what...she had such a great time!

Day 2 was at Granny and Grandpa's house...pool time with Grandpa V was pretty good until Grandpa got stung by a whasp! NOT GOOD!

Our little fish...she loves the water!

Mother's Day

Yes, it's Memorial Day Weekend and I'm positing about Mother's Day...please forgive me!

On Mother's Day we headed to Chad's Grandmother's house to surprise his Mom and Grandma...they were surprised for sure and we were too...they weren't there when we arrived and after a 2 hour car ride I really needed for them to be home...all three of us needed for them to be home if you know what I mean. What to do to keep your mind off of things while you wait...take pictures with Olivie of course!

Looks like a yawn, but it's really Olivia blowing a kiss!

Olivia is smelling the flowers...she thinks she has to get her whole head in there!

Chad's Dad cooked up a mean lunch and we had a great afternoon visiting with everyone!

Saturday of Mother's Day...Vasel Style!

On Saturday of Mother's Day weekend we had my side of the family over to our house for church and a BBQ.

(yes, I do realize I'm really far behind on posts)

My brother was able to join us as well so Olivia got some time with Uncle Kyle!

Olivia would love to spend all day, every day outside, so that's where you will find us in the afternoon or when friends/family are over!

Gymboree!

Yes, Olivia is participating in Gymboree classes and I really think she loves it! This month we're enrolled in basically a gym/little bit of music time...she loves most of the activities...the tunnels, slides (her absolute fav...usually) and the STAIRS! Yes, anything she can find with a set of stairs usually grabs her attention for most of the time.

The first two weeks we focused on hard vs. soft toys. Now we're working on up and down and in and out...Olivia likes it when she's "in" the ball bin...not sure if she's grasping the concept, but she likes it.

We end the classes with music/parachute time...the above two photos are the "freeze" song and "popping" bubbles.

Chad went the first time with us so he took the photos...I'm hoping to get pictures of Olivia and Chad this weekend at class!

Easter Day 2011

Yes, I'm a week behind...go figure!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with my family...Saturday my Mom and Dad and Grandma Vasel came in for Easter church service and then we joined them in Greenville on Easter Day. I'm pretty sure that Olivia just might think Easter is a small version of Christmas (which in many ways in the Christian story it is)...she walked into The Granny and Grandpa Vasel's family room to find a brand new picnic table awaiting her, along with many other little outside toys for their house.

Great Grandma Vasel helped Olivia with one her new toys...a spill proof buble bucket...worked pretty good! Olivia was also in amazement with daddy and grandpa's ability to blow bubbles...check out the next photos.

My Grandma Kamman sent Olivia the sequin bunny shirt...everyone needs one of these for Easter!

Olivia also loves to "play" the piano...although she thinks she's really good, she thinks great Grandma Vasel is the best! She just watched her play for the longest time and then started playing with her.
