Thanksgiving Weekend --- Part 2

Ok, if you haven't seen the blog below...start there and then come to this one...I ran out of room.

After the race and tree buying Chad, Kyle, Mel and I headed to the Botanical Gardens. The "display" we went to see was bust and complete disappointment...thank goodness it was about 68 degrees outside so we could walk around...2.5 hours of walking for someone 3 weeks out from their due date...can you say tired!

Thank goodness for the Climatron...it's like being in a rainforest. You can't really tell, but we're in a cave like structure with a waterfall behind us.
Chad growling inside a tree...this tree actually grows this way and you could sit all the way inside it if you wanted to.

Sorry, Kyle...I didn't get the great waterfall in behind you all...didn't notice until I uploaded these today.

After the Gardens we headed to Ted Drew's for some much needed custard! We all finished the day up by having dinner at Charlie Gitto's Downtown...it was great AND I have dinner for several nights this week! Mel and Kyle, we hope you all had a great weekend with us as well!

Chad, my Dad, Tyler (Chad's brother) and Kyle are all at the Ram's game as I'm writing this...hopefully they look good today, although that's very doubtful.

Olivia and I are doing great...Wednesday is the doctor's visit this week...we'll keep you all updated as it's getting closer and closer to the BIG DAY!

Thanksgiving Weekend --- 37 Weeks!

This past end of the week/weekend was great (this is going to be a LONG post)! Chad and I went to my family's house the night before Thanksgiving and then had a wonderful breakfast before he headed to his family's for Thanksgiving...I stayed with my parents since I am only three weeks out from having Olivia and I didn't want to chance it.

Most of my Dad's side of the family came to our house on Thanksgiving and we had so much food and an awesome time visiting...it was a little chilly on Turkey Day itself, so all of the activities were inside.

Kyle and Maddie -- Poor Maddie's almost 14 years old.

Mel and I relaxing after a huge meal...not the most flattering photo of me and Olivia

Me snacking about 9:45 at night...Dad just couldn't resist!
On Friday Mel and Kyle drove me back to my house, Chad and Doug came back from Lebanon and we were all able to catch up and hang out for the evening.

Saturday started very early with the 1st annual Warson Woods "Trot Through The Woods" 5K...Everyone did great and we had a little breakfast get together after.

Chad yelling at Doug who's taunting him as he ran past our house.

Joe was the big finisher out of the group...we're 99% sure he finished in the top 10.

Chad, me and Olivia after the race

Chad and Kyle goofing around once they got back.
After the race and breakfast Chad and I headed to the store to get our tree (photos to come later of the Christmas decorations).

Baby Shower #2!!!

3 weeks ago today I had my second baby shower...yes, I'm behind! Diane and Carrie McCuaig and Donna Rothschild gave me an awesome shower where little Miss "O" got even more wonderful things!

We had a wonderful luncheon with Donna's famous vegetable lasagna, Diane's awesome salad and for desert....my favorite --- Cupcakery Cupcakes! Carrie made chocolate favors in white and milk chocolate in baby shapes - rattles, trains, ABC blocks, etc...Olivia thought those tasted great!!!! (me too!!!)

Below are a few photos with all the awesome friends and family that were able to attend...my brother even surprised me and came in for the occasion --- it was wonderful!

Hiccups, Baby Class & Nursery!

So we're 32 weeks now...getting closerand closer all the time!

This past week Olivia's "new" thing is the hiccups...she has them at least one time a day for about 20 minutes. When she's awake she goes CRAZY! Apparently it doesn't bother her, but there's no way for me to help her (or myself when it happens in the middle of the night!)!

Saturday we had our 1 day baby class - Chad was thrilled to say the least. We both decided we did learn a lot and it was well worth it in the end...HOWEVER, I am now VERY nervous about the whole birth process in a MAJOR kind of way...Chad too after all the videos ;)

I finally have Olivia's room all done (minus getting the closet in order) and I think it turned out great! We hung the bookshelves and picture frames this weekend which were the final touches.

Busy Weekend!

Not much changed this past week...my "bump" just got a little bigger. We have a dotor's appointment tomorrow to check on Olivia --- 31week check up!

This past weekend was very busy and I had my first baby shower in Greenville...it was SO nice! Nancy, Diane and Sonya (up at the top across from my mom and Cherita) did a WONDERFUL job and Olivia got so many WONDERFUL things...we're so thankful for everyone that was able to come.

Below is my Grandma Kamman, Aunt Babe and "Aunt" Cheri

Chad's parents and Mel were able to come to town for the event, so after the shower we all went back to my parents' house to watch a little football and later eat a little pizza --- plain cheese seems to be Olivia's favorite right now!

Today my mom and I went to get the few little things left on the list for Olivia's room (oh, it's overflowing at this point with all the stuff from yesterday, so I'm going to try and tackle that tonight)...only think missing is a bookcase. Thanks to everyone that came to the shower yesterday Olivia has an awesome library collection started! Hopefully after this week I'll be able to post some photos of the house and Olivia's room...both are very close to completion...thank goodness!!! (I should have more photos of the shower as well...mom and I forgot our cameras, so I didn't get the photos of everything before everyone got there)

Whoops...three weeks have passed!

So, this whole weekly posting thing is NOT going as planned....I just seem to be extremely busy lately!
Three weekends ago we added another member to the family...NO, not another baby...my brother got engaged to his girlfriend Mel! It was a
very exciting weekend and we all went
up to Chicago to surprise her after he had asked her
and they had dinner. As you can tell from the photo she was VERY surprised (the one I took didn't turn out of her face when she saw all her friends and family). We also took a picture of our new family (minus Olivia...we'll be able to do that at Christmas).

This past week I had my 29 week check up (start week 30 tomorrow....look out, we're getting closer and closer!). Everything was good...I'm on the every two weeks schedule now. I have gained 16 pounds, so I'm right on track for the 25-30 weight gain they recommend. Olivia is VERY active and moves around all the time...it actually started hurting this week and taking my breath away every now and then.

We almost have the nursery done...waiting on the rocking chair (it arrives tomorrow!) and then I just have little things to do. I'll post the room next week and then again when it's done.

Chad and I are getting very anxious to meet Olivia...thank goodness we're busy between now and then and still have to get the house all done. Below is me at a full 29 weeks...we had a great dinner last night with my mom and dad.

Baby Olivia!

So today was our 4D ultrasound. Olivia's still breech, so it makes it a little difficult to get a real good look at her full face with the shadows of the cord in the way. She looks pretty cute though (I guess). She has her mouth open a lot and in the photo with the arrow she's sticking her tongue out. The first photo is me and Olivia at 26 weeks --- full 6 months now! My hair is a little curlier than normal!
