6 MONTHS!!!

Olivia was 6 months old on the 18th, this past Friday! I can't believe 6 months has past since she's come into our lives...it's been somuch fun seeing her grow and change! She laughs and giggles all the time and is trying so hard to talk, BUT can't figure out that her tongue needs to stay in her mouth and she gets all tounge tied. She makes silly faces with her mouth and has started snorting...things like this make me wonder where she learns this stuff.
Sunday we had another fun day in the pool...she is so active now, all over the place and just can't get enough of the water!

Hey guys...can you see me...I'm just chillin'Silly, silly, silly little girl!
Today we went to the doctor...we've got one big girl on our hands!!! 28 1/4 inches long (97%) and 17.4 pounds (75%). We're upgrading to 2 "jars" of baby food a day (I make the food, so I can't really call the cupcake molds jars) and by the looks of it we could have a crawling baby any day...she tried really hard today and made it a very little way...she just gets tired and frustrated. Oh yes, she gets frustrated/mad often, but we haven't given into her yet and just try to distract her from what she "thinks" she wants.

Stay tuned...hopefully we'll have a mobile baby soon!!!

Happy Father's Day!

So, we were all lucky enough to see all of the Fathers in our lives on Father's Day this year!

The day started off with Olivia giving both of us a gift...sleeping in until about 8am!!! WAHOOO!!! Then, we headed to breakfast with Cherita, Mike and Tyler...we all were at a wedding the night before. Although breakfast took much longer than expected we all had a great time hanging out!

For those of you that didn't see my Facebook post today...she now has 2 more teeth on top...obviously she was working on getting them through yesterday!

Grandma and Grandpa Wrinkle!

Then, we made the trek back to STL for a little BBQ with my parents and Kyle...G&W Sausage hot dogs and brats were the main attraction this year!!!

Helping Grandpa Vasel open his gift!
Let me help, I'm really good at opening lids..

It was a great day had by all, but we could have done without the 110 degree heat! ;)

Laughing with Daddy...he's the best Daddy ever!!!!

Backyard Photo Time

This morning Olivia and I headed outside to take a few pics in the backyard with our VERY large Hydrangea bush (I don't know if that's the right word for it, but it's not a plant, it's HUGE).

I made Miss O's little white tutu...Chad was a little worried about how it would turn out heading in, but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome...who knew a little tutu would take so much tulle...about 3 yards!

Enjoy!

Who Doesn't Like A Blow Up Pool??!!

Yes, Olilvia has her first blow up pool and it's a FROG! The pool even has a little shaded area under the rainbow...thank you Granny!!!

Olivia did okay in Granny and Grandpa Vasel's pool over Memorial Day weekend, but the backyard pool was a HUGE hit! She loves the bathtub and is doing so well at sitting on her own, only one major spill...this is going to be VERY handy this summer!!
Oh, Olivia's also rockin' a new pair of shades...how cute are they??!!!

No A/C Leads To Olivia's First Pool Experience

Since our A/C 's out we headed over to my parents last night to sleep and spend Memorial Day...the repair guy's coming first thing on Tuesday, but we're going to head home tonight since it's supposed to cool off a little. Olivia took on the pool for the first time today!!! I didn't know how she would react...it's didn't go as bad as I thought it might.

She's pretty unsure about the whole thing...I think she probably feel likes she's falling, but when she feels secure she does really well. I started with her on the steps, then had to pick her up and then Chad took her in...she did ok...then we tried out the float Granny got her and she would be ok and then her weight would shift and a little crying would follow...all in all, not bad and I think after a few more times she's really going to like it.

We're going to try it again later in the week, but in the meantime I'm going to try and fill up the little pool I got for our house for her to practice a little.

Cards vs Cubs Chicago Style -- Kyle's Bachelor Party!

Yes, you read the right...I went to Kyle's bachelor party...actually, I planned Kyle's bachelor party since I am his Best woMan.
Uncle Kyle...the Man of the day

How excited is Olivia!

Looking at the calendar I tried to figure out what would work with Kyle's schedule and for all of us...Memorial Day weekend just happened to be the Cardinals vs the Cubbies in Chi-Town...I thought this would be a great idea and Kyle agreed, so I started trying to figure out how in the world I would be able to get 14 tickets together in the stadium and then my brother reminded me about all the rooftops...so, I started emailing the companies and sure enough I was able to find one that had enough tickets for all of us.

Olivia with Daddy waiting to get on the train

It was a beautiful, sunny, 80 degree day in Chicago and we had the pleasure of sitting in right field in an all you could eat and drink building. For those of you not familiar with the set up, the Cubs stadium is pretty small and surrounding the stadium in the right and left fields are numerous 3-4 story apartment buildings...the top floor is turned into a bar and the rooftop has bleachers and a bar set up on top...it's a great idea and a wonderful view of the game!!!
Kyle with Clay and Ryan --- Post game, hence the big smiles!

Grandpa and Olivia taking in the game

Kyle with his Buds!
Yes, we had Cub fans with us...The Sweeney's!!!

Jeff and Jim post-game at McFadden's
Olivia on the train with Grandpa...she LOVES her Baby Bjorn to put it mildly!

Unfortunately the Cards weren't able to pull off a win, but we all had a great time!!!

Olivia the morning after...can you say a little tuckered out!!!

Congratulations Kyle...your "big day" will be here before you know it!

Liz and Mike's Wedding!!!

What a beautiful day...70's and sunny!!! Liz looked absolutely stunning and her dress, hair and accessories looked just like her.

Terrace at the Sea View Inn

View from the terrace out to the ocean

The reception that followed couldn't have been nicer...their cake was UNBELIEVABLE...strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries...WOW!!! Everything was so nice and you could see the water from across the street on the terrace. My mom and I were also able to enjoy the celebration since Liz had a sitter to watch her cousins and Olivia...thank you so much, Liz!!!

Check out this cake! It's was just as delicious as it was beautiful!

Yes, those are the chocolate strawberries from the cake!
