Happy Halloween!!!

Family photo...I have no idea what's wrong with my camera in this pic!

Olivia's first Halloween went VERY well...mommy got the costume done in plenty of time (made the antennas last night) and Olivia did pretty well with it...for the first 5 minutes :)!

The bumble bee and mommy!

Daddy and our little bee!

Olivia was a bumble bee! I made the tutu and antennas; I think it turned out pretty good! I couldn't figure out why Olivia kept taking her antennas off UNTIL Auntie Carrie put them on and she was getting poked in the head by part of the metal...YIKES!

Who's around the corner Olivia???

Ready, set, go!!!

(I was making Chad put her on the opposite side of the room so I could get pictures of her...she chases the camera!)

We had a great time with family and friends this afternoon...I had an open house so people could come over to see Olivia in her little outfit. All had a great time!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

It's Pumpkin Time!

This weekend we ventured out to do all things pumpkin...first stop, the front porch.

The one thing I love about our current house (I say current because everything's always for sale) is the front porch...it's great for decorating. Right now we have mums and pumpkins at the doorway to greet visitors and what a better spot than there to snap a few fall photos of Olivia!

Today (again..right on time!) we went to Raumbach Farms with Alyssa and Jeff...it's been unseasonally warm, so it was a great day! Olivia loved walking through the maze, looking at all the pumpkins, checking out the pigs (I think she has a thing for pigs...we may need to look into that) and LOVED the horses (Kae, if you read this, we'll be over next spring!).

Mommy time!
just the 3 Girls!

We even ventured out into the patch to check out the freakishly large pumpkins...just the right size for Olivia to stand by...she just kept jumping up and down.

Mom, what is this???

Oh yeah...this is pretty cool!

Mom, did you get my pic with the pumpkin???

I also got part 1 of her Halloween costume done...the yellow and black tutu...Auntie Carrie's coming with us next weekend to pick out the stuff for Olivia's antennas and then we should be good to go...I don't know if I'll try to make her outfit every year, but we'll start with the first and go from there.

SLU Alumni Baseball Game

Today (yes, I'm caught up and can actually say "today"!) Chad palyed in SLU's alumni baseball game. For those of you that don't know, Chad and I went to SLU together at the same time, but didn't date or hang out, although we did sometimes run into each other out and about.

Chad (note:he asked me not to post any photos)

It was a great day for the game, although it was a tad on the hot side...90 in October is a little crazy!

Olivia and I headed down to cheer daddy on...it was a great day had by all and I think Chad enjoyed playing and seeing people (I talked him into playing, so I hope he enjoyed it!)

Olivia and I tried to make it in the stands, but had to head to the shade with Em!

On The Move!

(This is Olivia's new face as of late)

Olivia's been army crawling, as we like to call it, for quite sometime now...probably since she was about 6-7 months. With Fall came pants for Olivia and in return Mommy and Daddy have a VERY mobile Olivia! She's the fast crawler I have ever seen and I really didn't think she would officially "crawl"...at the rate we were going I was expecting army crawl to walking. I really think our hardwood floors were a little too hard for her little knees!

I don't think it will be much longer before we have a little walker on our hands...I'd say a month or so. Olivia pulls up on anything and everything and is trying to stand in the middle of the floor but hasn't figured out how that's suppose to work exactly. She also uses the ottoman as a walker, but isn't too sure about using the toys that we have for that purpose yet.

Trip to the Zoo --- Take Two

We've had unseaonably warm weather this past week, so we took advantage and headed out Friday afternoon to the Zoo...I couldn't wait to see what Olivia thought about everything since she's much more observant now then she was the first time we went.

First stop...the Children's Zoo...I just couldn't wait to see her reaction to the billy goats. Unfortunately Olivia was not too excited about the goats...in fact, she turned the other way and hid her head in hopes of them disappearing if she wasn't looking at them...not so much.

A little further into the Children's Zoo she was much more excited...LOVED the potbelly pigs and the Alpachas....not quite sure why those were a hit and the billy goats weren't. She wante out of her stroller so bad to grab a hold of them

Couldn't keep her eyes off of him...not even for a photo

Mr. Groundhog...meet Olivia...he really started showing off for her, it was cute!

Notice Olivia clinging on for dear life...it's her new thing

She pretty much just sat and observed the rest of the time until we got to the penguins...we couldn't wait to see if she still liked them just as much as before and....she did! She jumps and screams...she just can't get enough of them.

We'll be heading back to the Zoo next weekend with Jean and Sophie in the morning...it will be so much fun!

Forest Park Balloon Races 2010

It's been awhile since we've been able to make it back to the balloon races in Forest Park, but we made it this year with a group of great friends and Olivia!

For those of you not familiar with the event, the Engizer Bunny Balloon leads the race...the Balloon is taller than the Statue of Liberty; the ears alone are over 16ft taller than the other balloons in the race. All the other balloons follow to a point where bags of corn are dropped into a circular area...the "race" is more an "accuracy" contest on how close you can drop the bag to the marked spot.

Olivia saw Alex again this weekend...she is at the age where all she wants to do is pull on his clothes, limbs, face, etc...it's not good for Alex at all! He's a tad scared of her and not sure what she is doing at all! There's a 3.5 month age difference...just enough to matter now, but it will be great when they are a little older and we all get together.

9 Months Old!

I can't believe 3 months for yesterday Olivia will be 1 year old...let the party planning begin! The 9 month milestone also prompted a photo session outdoors.

Olivia is ALL over the place...she crawls everywhere and anywhere she wants to go - yikes! As of today she is pulling up on anything that looks like it will hold her (or not!) and for the first time after her afternoon nap I woke up to find her standing in her crib...which in turn prompted Daddy to do a quick fix in dropping her bed yet again (last rung before toddler bed level). She waives hello and goodbye and every now and then will say hi...she also says "Jack" now...that's my dog's name...just what I wanted...my daughter to say my dog's name before Momma!

We're very good at little games too...she now does the motions all by herself to "How big is Olivia?!" and hides her head (and giggles) until you say "where's Olivia?" and then he pops up with a HUGE smile on her face.

We don't have our official check-up until Friday, but I would guess Olivia to be right around 20lbs, probably giving .5-1 pound. I would think she's about 30" long too...she's a long and lean machine! I'll update after our visit to see if my guesses are correct.

Until then!
